About This Week

This week, we will continue our new unit: La ciencia y tecnología. We will continue to  examine the impact that scientific and technological development has in our lives.

Please check the calendar for important dates. If you haven’t presented a current event for the 2nd time, please be prepared to present on Tuesday. See me if you have any questions.

Here are some resources to help you further contextualize our new theme: Tecnología, individuo y sociedad.

La IWM mil” by Alicia Yáñez Cossío. Students should research Yáñez Cossío’s nationality, background, and purpose in writing this text. Then, you may compare this text to other stories that predict technology before its development. Example: Jules Verne’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.

Reminder: Tutoring is canceled for this Friday. Sra. Galuszka will be at a conference.
