About This Week

Please begin preparing early for your Mid- Unit Assessment. Do not wait until Thursday to begin studying. Be sure to have thorough notes over each fuente. Also, review the fuentes as many times as possible. You are responsible for the following fuentes for Friday’s test: <<Tiempo de juego>>; En esto creo <<Educación>>; Tocar y luchar, << Facebook, el monstruo de las dos cabezas>>;<<Centroamérica y las redes sociales>>; and <<Jóvenes y uso de las redes sociales>>. OJO- All responses on your assessment much be supported with information from the readings.

Also, if you have not presented a current event this semester (current event 1 or 2), please be prepared to present this week. We will have 3-5 presentations a day as time permits. Please see the class calendar and the weekly plan below for more information about this week.

 

Monday

What are the learning objectives?

  • The student comprehends level appropriate written language on topics related to contemporary events and issues utilizing cultural references where appropriate.
  • The student researches and discusses how the viewpoints of people in countries where the target language is spoken are reflected in their practices and products, such as political systems, art, architecture, music, and literature.

What are we doing today?

  • Students will take a quiz over vocabulary 1.2.
  • Students will complete an AP Practice Test: Email Reply.
  • Students will finish reading activities over Facebook: El monstruo de las dos cabezas.

What is the homework?

  • Study for your Mid Unit Assessment.

Tuesday

What are the learning objectives?

  • The student comprehends level appropriate written language on topics related to contemporary events and issues utilizing cultural references where appropriate.
  • The student researches and discusses how the viewpoints of people in countries where the target language is spoken are reflected in their practices and products, such as political systems, art, architecture, music, and literature.

  • Students will complete activities over <<Centroamérica y las redes sociales>>.
  • Students will complete listening activities over <<Jóvenes y uso de las redes sociales>>.

Wednesday

  • Early Release Work Day- Students will have time today to work individually or in pairs on classroom assignments.

  • Study for your Mid Unit Assessment.

Thursday

  • The student comprehends level appropriate written language on topics related to contemporary events and issues utilizing cultural references where appropriate.
  • The student researches and discusses how the viewpoints of people in countries where the target language is spoken are reflected in their practices and products, such as political systems, art, architecture, music, and literature.

  • Students will complete a study guide for their mid- unit exam.

  • Study for your Mid Unit Assessment.

Friday

  • The student demonstrates comprehension of level appropriate written language on topics related to contemporary events and issues utilizing cultural references where appropriate.

  • Students will take their first Mid Unit Assessment
