Spanish III Honors: Week of March 11

About This Week

This week, students will continue working with our second thematic unit of the semester, La tecnología. Click here for the vocabulary list. This week, students will be assessed over their interpersonal speaking skills. Students will be pulled to the teacher’s desk or to the hallway to have a conversation about technology and cars. Students will also learn how to use informal commands in Spanish.

Prerequisite Skills:

Students should refresh their knowledge of the present tense. Knowing the present tense is imperative in forming commands in Spanish. Spanish_Cheat_Sheet_Present_Tense

 


Monday

What are the learning objectives?

  • Students will be able to recognize words and expressions about technology, electronics, and the Internet.
  • Students will be able to describe cars and their accessories.
  • Students will be able to understand and respond to orders or advice.

  • Students will complete vocabulary activities about technology.

What are the learning objectives?

What are we doing today?

  • Students will complete an interview activity.
  • Students will complete a “Speed Dating” activity to practice for this week’s interpersonal assessment.

  • Students will complete will begin working on activities with commands.
    • Students will complete a chart listing affirmative and negative commands of specific verbs.
    • Students will will rewrite a paragraph using commands.
    • Students will use construction paper to create a visual with instructions on how to complete a task.

  • Students will be able to describe cars and their accessories.

What are we doing today?

  • Students will finish the activities from yesterday.
  • Students will complete activity 1 on p. 66.
  • Students will two other handouts using commands.
  • Students will be called to the hallway to complete their interpersonal speaking assessment.
