Spanish II Honors: Week of February 13

Monday

What are the learning objectives?

  • The student talks about shopping and describes clothing in the target language.
  • The student understands the types of markets are common in the Spanish-speaking world and why they are common.

What are we doing today?

  • Students will get with a partner and trace each other and label clothes. Then students will describe each other’s clothes and present to class for fichas.
  • Students will complete activities over saber and conocer.
  • Students will be given time in the computer lab to work on Chapter 6 Vocabulary- ¡De compras!

What is the homework?


Tuesday

What are the learning objectives?

  • The student talks about shopping and describes clothing in the target language.
  • The student understands the types of markets are common in the Spanish-speaking world and why they are common.

What are we doing today?

  • Students will complete more activities with saber and conocer.
  • Students will complete activities over indirect object pronouns.
  • Students will watch a Flash Cultura video about shopping at the market.
  • Students will form groups for tomorrow’s fashion show.

What is the homework?


Wednesday

What are the learning objectives?

  • The student talks about shopping and describes clothing in the target language.
  • The student understands the types of markets are common in the Spanish-speaking world and why they are common.

What are we doing today?

  • Students will complete more activities on indirect object pronouns.
  • Students will write a journal entry about their shopping preferences.
  • Students will participate in a fashion show for fichas.

What is the homework?

What are the learning objectives?

  • The student talks with someone about their travel and vacation plans.
  • The student talks about shopping and describes clothing in the target language.
  • The student understands the types of markets are common in the Spanish-speaking world and why they are common.

What are we doing today?

  • Students will read and complete activities for chapter 2 of Robo en la noche. We will pick up chapter 2 after the break. Many students need more practice with indirect object pronouns instead.
  • Students will prepare for tomorrow’s interpersonal speaking assessment.

What is the homework?

What are the learning objectives?

  • The student talks with someone about their travel and vacation plans.
  • The student talks about shopping and describes clothing in the target language.
  • The student understands the types of markets are common in the Spanish-speaking world and why they are common.

What are we doing today?

  • Students will complete an interpersonal speaking assessment.
  • Students will complete activities in VHL Central.
  • Students will begin learning how to form verbs in the past tense.
