Spanish II Honors: Week of August 15

Monday

What are the learning objectives?

  • The student describes themselves and others in the target language.

What are we doing today?

  • 1st period will take the SLO. 2nd period will finish Jeopardy from Thursday.
  • Students will have 15 to minutes to work on their presentations.
  • Students will work in groups to read Chapter 1 of Robo en la noche.

What is the homework?

  • Prepare for tomorrow’s presentation. Submit your Powerpoint to VHL Central.

Tuesday

What are the learning objectives?

  • The student describes themselves and others in the target language.

What are we doing today?

  • Students will present their Así soy yo projects.
  • Students will listen to presentations and take notes which will be used Wednesday on their summative writing assessment.

What is the homework?

  • If you did not present today, be prepared to present tomorrow. If you did present today, tonight you have no homework. 🙂

Wednesday

What are the learning objectives?

  • The student describes themselves and others in the target language.
  • The student talks with someone about their travel and vacation plans.

What are we doing today?

  • Remaining students will present their Así soy yo projects.
  • Students will complete a writing assessment.
  • Students will begin working on Las vacaciones vocabulary.

What are the learning objectives?

  • The student talks with someone about their travel and vacation plans.

 

What are we doing today?

  • Students will complete practice activities with the new thematic vocabulary.
  • Students will begin learning the geography  and nationalities of Spanish-speaking countries and their capitals.
  • Students will watch a Flash Cultura about vacations in Peru.

What are the learning objectives?

  • The student talks with someone about their travel and vacation plans.

What are we doing today?

  • Students will be given 15 minutes to work on vocabulary in the computer lab.
  • Students will work on the verb estar with conditions and emotions.
  • Students will play a game with their vocabulary.
