AP Spanish: Week of January 30

Monday

What are the learning objectives?

  • The student describes, narrates, and presents information and/or persuasive arguments on general topics with grammatical control and good pronunciation in an oral presentation of two or three minutes.
  • The student initiates, maintains, and closes a conversation on a familiar topic.

What are we doing today?

  • Students will take an AP practice multiple choice test. This test will contain reading and listening sections. It will count as an interpretive grade.
  • Students will prepare for the mid-unit assessment.

What is the homework?

  • Prepare for tomorrow’s assessment.
  • Interview questions due on Friday, 2/3.

Tuesday

What are the learning objectives?

Wednesday

  • The student identifies and summarizes main points and important details and makes appropriate inferences and predictions from a written text, such as a newspaper or magazine article or a contemporary literary excerpt.
  • The student identifies and summarizes the main points and significant details and makes appropriate inferences and predictions from a spoken source, such as a broadcast news report or a lecture, on an academic or cultural topic related to the Spanish-speaking world.

What are we doing today?

  • Students will talk about transitional expressions and suffixes (Léxicos 1, 2) and complete activities. Students will have a quiz over this information on Friday, 2/3.
  • Students will complete an interpersonal activity with a partner.
  • Students will have time in the computer lab to work on their cultural comparisons for Friday.

What is the homework?

  • Study vocabulary 4.3. Quiz on Monday, 2/6.
  • Study for your Léxico Quiz (Friday, 2/3) using this quizlet.
  • Interview questions due on Friday, 2/3.
