What are the learning objectives?

  •  Initiate, maintain, and close a conversation on a familiar topic.

What are we doing today?

  • Students will complete a practice simulated conversation and a cultural comparison. interpersonal-speaking-rubric-ap
  • Students will share their answers from the reading: Las escuelas que siguen a los chicos. Questions about this reading will be included on the mid-unit assessment on Monday, 1/30.
  • Presentations on Friday.

What is the homework?

  • Study vocabulary 4.1. Quiz on Monday, 1/23.
  • Complete listening comprehension activities for La equidad de género en la docencia. (VHL) Questions about this audio will be present on the mid-unit assessment. This is due on Thursday.

Wednesday

What are the learning objectives?

  • The student synthesizes information from a variety of authentic audio and visual resources.

What are we doing today?

  • Students will complete a practice AP multiple choice activity.
  • Students will read and complete comprehension questions for En el futuro, todos autónomos. Questions about this reading will be on the mid-unit assessment.
  • Given two tables, students will answer a question. Students will analyze, extract information and write observations that relate to the question.
  • Given an audio, students will write observations that answer the question. Students will write a thesis statement with three reasons that answer the question.

What is the homework?

  • Complete listening comprehension activities for La equidad de género en la docencia. Questions about this audio will be present on the mid-unit assessment. This is due tomorrow.

  • Students will investigate, analyze and present the career outlook between their studied and home nations.
  • Students will go over the answers for the listening comprehension activities for La equidad de género en la docencia.
  • Students will write a journal entry about the effects that globalization will have on the career that students plan to pursue.
