Monday

What are the learning objectives?

  • The student describes, narrates, and presents information and/or persuasive arguments on general topics with grammatical control and good pronunciation in an oral presentation of two or three minutes.
  • The student initiates, maintains, and closes a conversation on a familiar topic.

What are we doing today?

  • Students will take vocabulary quiz 4.3.
  • Students will begin writing an email from the perspective of their 40 year old selves.
  • Students will begin watching Valentin and complete a viewing guide.

What are the learning objectives?

  • The student identifies and summarizes main points and important details and makes appropriate inferences and predictions from a written text, such as a newspaper or magazine article or a contemporary literary excerpt.
  • The student identifies and summarizes the main points and significant details and makes appropriate inferences and predictions from a spoken source, such as a broadcast news report or a lecture, on an academic or cultural topic related to the Spanish-speaking world.
  • The student initiates, maintains, and closes a conversation on a familiar topic.

What are we doing today?

  • Students will finish watching Valentin and turn in viewing activities.
  • Students will practice making cultural comparisons. Your first impromptu comparison will be on Thursday.

  • Read and complete activities for Mundo del fin del mundo. (preguntas de comprension)
  • Study vocabulary 4.4. Quiz on 2/13.

  • Students will go over the activities for Mundo del fin del mundo.
  • Students will  listen to and complete activities for Medioambiente: Viajes naturalistas.
  • Students will complete a cultural comparison.
  • Students will begin working on their travel advertisement. Due tomorrow at the end of class.

What are the learning objectives?

  • The student initiates, maintains, and closes a conversation on a familiar topic.

What are we doing today?

  • Students will complete their travel advertisement and turn them in @ senoragg@gmail.com.
  • Students will play Scattergories en Espanol.
  • Students will begin reading and completing comprehension and analysis questions about La evolución de la amistad.

What is the homework?

  • Read and complete activities for La evolución de la amistad before class on Monday.
  • Study vocabulary 4.4. Quiz on  2/13.
