Monday

What are the learning objectives?

  • The student identifies and summarizes the main points and significant details and makes appropriate inferences and predictions from a spoken source, such as a broadcast news report or a lecture, on an academic or cultural topic related to the Spanish-speaking world.

What are we doing today?

  • Students will take the Tema 4 End of Unit Assessment.
  • Students will complete a survey activity about their coffee preferences.
  • Students will use guided notes to begin learning about coffee production.

What is the homework?

  • Study vocabulary 5.1 Quiz on Monday, 3/6.
  • Begin reading and completing activities for Manuel del perfecto idiota. Complete before class on Wednesday. Students will see questions about this reading on the mid unit assessment on March 20.

Tuesday

What are the learning objectives?

  • The student initiates, maintains, and closes a conversation on a familiar topic.
  • The student identifies and summarizes the main points and significant details and makes appropriate inferences and predictions from a spoken source, such as a broadcast news report or a lecture, on an academic or cultural topic related to the Spanish-speaking world.

What are we doing today?

  • Students will complete a warm-up activity with vocabulary and definitions.
  • Students will complete a practice simulated conversation  and provide and receive feedback from their group members.
  • Students finish and turn in guided notes about coffee production.
  • Students will research free trade vs. fair trade and answer discussion questions.

What is the homework?

  • Read and complete activities for Manuel del perfecto idiota. Students will see questions about this reading on the mid unit assessment on March 20.
  • Study vocabulary 5.1 Quiz on Monday, 3/6.

  • Students will go over activities for Manuel del perfecto idiota. Students discussed free and fair trade.
  • Students will work in groups to create an activity: Un experimento económico. Students will present their product to the class on Friday.

What is the homework?

  • Begin reading and completing activities for Micropréstamos. Complete the activities before class on Friday. Students will see questions about this reading on their mid unit assessment on March 20.
  • Study vocabulary 5.1 Quiz on Monday, 3/6.

Thursday

  • Students will take a practice AP exam. – Multiple Choice. This grade will count as an interpretive grade worth 100 points.
  • Students will go over activities for Manuel del perfecto idiota.
  • Students will work in groups to create an activity: Un experimento económico. Students will present their product to the class on Monday.

  • Finish reading and completing activities for Micropréstamos. Complete the activities before class on Friday. Students will see questions about this reading on their mid unit assessment on March 20.

  • Students will finish  Un experimento económico. Be prepared to present on Monday.
  • Students will continue to work on their group investigation. Students will present their findings to the class on Monday, 3/13 and Tuesday, 3/14.
